ATTENTION ALL CHEMEKETA PARK WATER CUSTOMERS

The main line valve repair at Comanche and Modoc is now complete. Water service has been restored to all customers. You may notice some rust coloration, small bubbles in your water. Please, simply run your kitchen tap for 5 minutes, or until the water runs clear. There is no need to boil your water.

WHAT HAPPENED: A minor service line modification near Comanche and Nez Perce made it necessary to isolate and drain a section of the main pipeline. The area originally affected was Comanche Trail, from Navajo to Modoc. Unfortunately, one of the distribution valves fractured as we attempted to close it, resulting in a significant water leak. The valve failure also rendered the valve unable to be closed. The site had to be excavated to replace the valve, which was finally completed today, July 30. The original work at a residence down the street was then able to be completed as well.

We thank you for your patience and we offer our apologies for any inconvenience.
