WATER INFRASTRUCTURE WORK IS HAPPENING SOON

All Chemeketa Park Residents

In the next couple of weeks your water meter will be replaced. We are currently upgrading existing water meter equipment or installing new meters where none existed before. You may see utility workers in the street in front of your home and, in some cases, we may contact you to request access to your yard.

We will do our best to contact you 1-2 days prior to performing work that may affect your water supply. In most cases, the interruption to your water flow will be one hour or less. Where more extensive work is necessary, we will reach out and work with your schedule to minimize the inconvenience.

This work is being done pursuant to California Senate Bill 552 (SB 552), passed in 2021, which requires small water suppliers (15 to 2,999 service connections) to install meters on all service connections and monitor for water loss, with a compliance deadline of January 1, 2032. This mandate aims to improve drought resilience through detection and monitoring of leakages at the system and residential levels.

Thank you. We appreciate your understanding.
