Chemeketa Park Mutual Water Company, has levels of Haloacetic Acids Above Drinking Water Standards
Chemeketa Park Mutual Water Company water system recently failed a drinking water standard. Although this is not an emergency, as our customers, you have a right to know what you should do, what happened, and what we are doing to correct this situation.
We routinely monitor for the presence of drinking water contaminants. Testing results we received on Novemeber 19, 2025 and February 9, 2026 show that Chemeketa Park MWC water system exceeds the standard, or maximum level (MCL), for Haloacetic Acids. The MCL standards for Haloacetic Acids are 60 ug/L. The average level of Haloacetic Acids over the period of Q4 2025 and Q1 2026 are 74 ug/L.
What should I do?
We are investigating the cause of high HAA5 levels and are preparing a Correction Action Plan designed to correct the violation identified and ensure that Chemeketa Park MWC delivers water to consumers that meet drinking water standards.
